because mother is like a god to her children

In fact that quote in the title was from Silent Hill movie which is totally irrelevant to what I am talking here.

But it is true, mother is like a god to her kids.

I looked up to my mom and in my eyes she was, and still is a supernatural being. Sometimes I just can't believe that she has gone so far on her own, in the mean while, still was taking good care of me.

She had me when she was 24 years old. Dad and his families are dissapointed because they thought that I was going to be a boy. They left my mom in the hospital alone for a long time that day. Mom looked around and saw other women's families busy taking care of them and their new borns. Sitting in her own bed, she cried and decided that no matter how hard, she will take great care of me, even if there arent anyone else to help her.

The fact is she really did what she believed she will do. 20 years later, after so many difficulties and struggles we endured together, she was driving her own cars doing her own business as a renowned artist in the native town and province. She bought many different properties and provided me a great life, and even supported me to go study oversea in different countries. She supported me to come to the US, despite the fact that how much she loves me and wishes that I was home to take care of her like other people's kids there.

I was reading someone's article about his mother. The guy gave people advices, one is " if you want to tell your mother how grateful you are, don't wait, do it NOW."So I sent my mom an email immediately. Later that night, she talked with me on google talk. She was so happy but didn't tell me what made the difference. Regardless, I just KNOW that I havent spent that much time talking to her like that for a long time.

Many times I complain about how hard life is, I just need to think of her, think of how she endured the pains of divorce, trying to make a living, how severe the competition is. However she endured all of those because she had me in her mind, she told me that she had to take care of me, that is a quest that she will never turn her head away from.

Someone told me in church that God loves you more than anyone else, I agree that God really does love me than most people, but there is one person that loves me more than anyone else, and that's my mother, to me, she is a god, there is nothing she cannot conquer, and she does all of those just for me.

arabic naming system

a few facts:
1. a person's name can be very long, because it records the ancestry, geographical locations, personality description and occupation. but it gives a very straight-forward view of one person through his/her name.

2. a father's first name becomes his son/daughter's last name, and it goes on in such manner.

here is the URL for some reading if you are interested.

A poem about kittens

I was going through my emails and found this poem sent by Len.
It has such an accurate description of the adorable baby cats.

Gentle eyes that see so much,
Paws that have a quiet touch,
Purrs to signal "all is well,"
And show more love than words could tell,
Fur so smooth and soft like silk,
Contently kneading mother's milk,
Graceful movements stroked with pride,
A peaceful presence by our side,
A friendship that takes time to grow,
No wonder why we love them so.
