about Brokeback Mountain
I didn't see it, I wish I did.
I heard so much about it, read so much about it, and I didnt see it.
I guess Im going to wait until the DVD come out, then I will get Adam to sit down and watch it with me.People told me this movie makes people cry, because it is a real love story, not cheesy nasty ones that you see all the time on the widescreen/TV. That's a good news to me.
About why I need to have Adam to sit down and watch, because he is uncertain about homosexual people in many ways. Sometimes he seems disturbed when I try to talk with him about it. This I understand, people are afraid of things that they don't know and they were educated not to be part of. But is what we were taught 100% correct?
I remember I used to write diary for about 4 or 5 years. It was a great way to run away from the frustrations and be a rebel. I remember, surprisinly that I wrote once, if I love someone, and that is true love, it doesnt matter if it is a man or a woman, because it is the person's soul that I truly love. But it was under a different circumstance. Because my mother told me that she is a mother and father at same time to me, and either she is a mother, or a father, I love her anyways.
After these many years, I came to believe what once I believed, love, when it comes down to the purest form, it is all the same, the way you love your spouse, your parents and your children. They are like part of yourself that complete you and make you who you are. So if we decide the fact that 2 men deeply in love with each other is not the kind of love that we ordinary people share, and we expel them from our society or force them to live the way they don't want...well I cant think of a a worse thing that we can do to them.
There are many things that are still being changed, because as time goes by people start to realize that not all things written in the books are the truth. In China, not too long ago, homosexuality was still categorized as one of the mental disorder. Everybody is unique, to respect the individual regardless their sexual orientation is to respect the humanity.
And the movie, might be a good start for many uncertain people.
